Leilani’s Restaurant Renovation and Repairs

Renovation and expansion of the existing restaurant to include the dining, entry, and food service spaces of Leilani’s Restaurant at Ka’anapali, Maui. Phasing of construction was scheduled to keep the restaurant operational during construction. The six month project was phased so that the downstairs portion of the restaurant could remain open and was only shut down for three weeks while the main entry and restrooms were renovated. Other challenges included; installation of the cantilevered roof structure, structural as-builts not coinciding with the existing conditions, minimization of dust and noise during restaurant business hours, and construction access at Ka’anapali’s busiest pedestrian zones. These challenges were worked thru with flexibility and innovation on the part of our team.

Scope of work included; demolition, cast-in-place concrete, sitework, structural steel, misc. metals, doors and hardware, millwork, rough and finish carpentry, drywall partitions, acoustical ceilings, tile, painting, roofing, specialties, food service equipment, plumbing, fire sprinkler, elevator, HVAC, and electrical systems.
